Around the World: Cheapest Flights for Flexible Dates

By: Kristina Ricks

“Around the World” is a personal project developed to help the user find the cheapest flights to and from any major airport around the world given a range of possible departure dates.

Essentially, I can enter in the information stating that I want round trip flights from airport A to airport B between xx/xx/2011 and xx/xx/2011 and stay for xx amount of days and this tool will find the cheapest day to depart -- returning all of the flight information and giving me the option to go directly to Expedia.com to book my flight.

To do this requires several user inputs which are entered into the Entry Form sheet built in excel. The given criteria is then entered into Expedia.com where the sub procedure loops through the possible dates of departure and finds and returns the cheapest day to fly. This saves time checking flights and money because the user can rest assured that they have found the cheapest flight.
